Fairly basic.

Symmetrical bases, each with a UTDMT, directly across from each other.

Gameplay takes place on all levels, above & below.

Nice thing about old school mappers is they tend to be very receptive to requests to edit their work, and in the case of The Bull he not only gave me permission to edit his Chicago map for Xvehicles... he said I could edit any of his maps I wanted.

Only wish I'd done more of them before I lost access to UnrealEd.

What we have here are multiple towers with bridges between them. Map offers combat both within the towers, along the outside of the towers...

...and on top of many of the structures.

Just for **** & giggles I tossed in 2 UTDMS to boot.

The discovery UTDM-monsters work in DOM was a bit of a shock, in that an unassigned UTDMS turns control points back to the neutral X made things interesting...

...but this time I decided to go a different way.

4 control points, 4 teams: Gave each team a UTDMS but positioned them directly on the control points, which being team assigned anytime they respawn it immediately changes that point back to the team color the particular UTDMS is on.

Plus, no Bob the Berserker this time around...

...meet Bob the Krall!

Facing Worlds is one of UT's most iconic maps (technically Unreal's as well) and what I especially like about it are the numerous variations. I've got no less than 15 of them, the bulk of which are setup the same. Two towers on an orbiting platform in outer space.

Yet not all of the variants are in space. Some are very much planetside, on the ground.

What we have here is a massive map, but while the bases are in towers those aren't the only towers here. As the massive amount of space, it's about the same amount as from CTF-Face; maybe a little less... hard to appreciate from an endless starfield.

Nelsona had to correct pathing and some other problems I couldn't, apparently the extra towers were copied from the main two and that, in turn, copied pathing into them. Extra unnecessary defense points needed to be removed.

For such a large playing area, each team has all 3 kinds of UTDM-monsters.

I might've gotten a little carried away here.

This is a small and simple map, where games tend to be solved real quick... and to slow that down so it lasted longer I tossed random stuff in...

...like Statler & Waldorf.

From The Muppet Show.

If this isn't ringing any bells, I am so sorry you were so fundamentally deprived in life.

Also, for no apparent reason...

...I added a bunch of random monsters in a back lot to fight each other.

The werewolf skin is one of the really good ones back from the days of UTskins (moment of silence) but it seemed a bit weird to me, as Team Colors for Blue and Yellow had a massive gash in its chest.

Still a great skin, but you can see the discoloration under the pants.

Decided to fix it up, took away the gash in its chest and gave it a decent pair of jeans.

Mostly, skin aside, I was kind of wanting to work on it for spare parts, case in point...

My recent attempt on medor's Santa skin, which didn't go so well... I thought it might've been an issue with the software, so I slapped together another skin on the fly to see...

...but that worked out nicely, so that obviously wasn't the issue.

I used a head from the DeadCatz database and took the arms off the werewolf and altered them to match the fur on the headpiece.

Turned out pretty well.

Sometime back I got it into my head to replace the NaliRabits on maps with other things, just to break up the monotony. And while I only did it to 5 maps like this, one such selection was the HubCat provided by GoPostal.

What we have here is a very large map from the "Civil War" series; which near as I can tell have no historical significance.

Each map is huge and while there are similarities, each has it's own unique flavor.

Bases have a number of different ways to enter, all have a simple structure.

This has been done awhile, but as usual with me the most minor of things held up from declaring this being done.

It was the belt.

In the comics it's a very well defined thing, but in the movie it was barely at all noticeable.

So I've opted for a limited but still semi-visible one... which I felt obligated to do as there's not much of anything other than a belt to show team colors from the back.

Sajon Waku made 3 Power Ranger skins, which are all basically the same skin with no detail and flat colors but different heads. Someone awhile ago brought the Red Ranger to my attention and I only really took a solid look at it about 2 weeks ago...

...and the rest, as they say, is history!

I took the Red Ranger's textures and made all the white parts black and the red parts white. Microsoft Paint is what I primarily use for editing skins (pixel by pixel) and for it white is transparent. From there I took the textures of a black body suit from the old TRON project I never get back to, made it red and dragged it underneath. Did that over again by making the previously made black parts white, inverted the black body suit and then dragged that under... and viola! A detailed Red Ranger.

Except for the head, Sajon Waku's heads were not pretty.

Took a Flash skin's textures for the head, and placed a random face in there.

Tint edits gave full team colors and all that was left was to pick a default color.

Why purple?

Back when, UTskins site didn't have a forum exactly but it had a review section for all skins submitted. A thing which came up periodically is most skins don't use 3 colors: Pink, Orange, & Purple.

I try and use them periodically to compensate.

Anywho... enjoy!
