Recent help from Baardman, in providing the pigmentation edit, and here we are.


Tournament takes place in the 23rd Century, proposed time of when race becomes less an issue as more or less everyone all has the same shade of skin. Still, I've been kind of wanting to do something like this for awhile and I never managed to get there via my usual method of tint edits.


Don't be worried about name confusion, learned a long time ago just a little space makes all the difference.

Sometimes forget I don't post everything to forums, this was previously linked to Facebook's UT-groups back in 2022.

This is an edit of a previous edit of mine · https://unreal-games.livejournal.com/120294.html · as I wanted to make LostInTime a bit more difficult.

I actually did a previous XV edit of the original MH-LostInTime when Ferali 1st made this, but there's been several upgrades since and I've learned some specific aspects of it that needed to be adjusted for MH use specifically... to keep things, at least, somewhat fair.

It's the same basic scenario as always.

You fight your way through a Skaarj base, jump through a time portal and wind up in a time where there are dinosaurs, and then fight your way to another portal to bring you back to the present.

Now, there are a number of folks who may well tell you that while you're in the vehicles you will be completely safe from dinosaur attacks...

...and having edited a couple MH maps with XV on them, let me assure you: THAT IS NOT TRUE!

I can't explain the physics of it, but some dinosaurs can get close enough to the vehicles that they can attack specifically where the players "are" in them, which damages the vehicles. Which is fair, to my way of thinking, but not everyone is totally happy about that.

Back when, while I was still getting used to XV (a bit before Buggie started working on it) I set this up to test it on:


This is one of NiX's maps setup with 1 XV, 1 UTDMW, 1 SkaarjPlayerBot, & 1 Cyberus.

Wanted a lot of room to practice driving the tank and fighting other foes with it.

Map has virtually no pathing, so you have to go and get their attention.

Was toying with adding a stethoscope to go over his shoulders around his neck, but that seemed like gun holsters with drawn in pistols in them which always annoys me.

...while I cannot currently skin the Male Soldier, I've got about a ½ dozen skins which are basically ready to go for it.

When I was making the clown skins I kept fixating on an overall yellow skin, though obviously I didn't go that way.

Still, it was a hard image to shake.

Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of bees. Don't mind them at a distance but up close I find them worrisome.

No idea what inspired me to go this route, but I do like how it turned out.

What we have here is a Facing Worlds sort of thing, except it's on the ground...

...and it's a wee bit chilly.

Each base has a UTDMS (SkaarjBerserker) who's more than a little trigger happy, and possibly psychotic.

There's a UTDMT (Titan) in the middle of the map, named "Snow Cone". He's not on anybody's team.

Nelsona placed bot-pathing on the map and gave the UTDMS monster-pathing; UTDMT remains free range.

We were introduced to the concept of the X-SE towards the start of the 1990s.

A mutant peace keeping force that operated like a **** police unit, from a future timeline of approximately 100 years hence.

A trio of them got stuck in the past, our present, in pursuit of criminals who time traveled via one crook who had that power. They quickly came into conflict with the X-Men as historical records weren't great in their era and they didn't recognize the X-men as being legitimate.

Such is the way of things...

...have fun.

This is a redo of a Cyclops skin I did awhile ago, which despite some improvements... red is hard.

This gets revisited periodically, and this time around I thought I'd try and share a fun aspect of it...

...the frisbee of death!

Not what it's called, but that's basically what it is when used on other players...

...though it's not so effective against monters.

The files in the .zip are what it takes to use the Deadly Discs arena mutator but I didn't isolate to just those. There's a wide range of summons, from customized pawns to weapons from the original TRON film as well as playerbots and meshes for vehicles... plus some decent voicepacks. A bit of editing is needed for some of them, like the playerbots don't automatically load their own textures as UTron was setup to go under a different directory inside ut99, but you get the idea.

Frankly I'm hoping Buggie might be able to get the vehicle meshes to work under XV.

Did not include the Utron launch program or the Utron editor, which never really worked that well.

Discs themselves are interesting. Once locked onto a target they will stay on said target until that's eventually killed or the disc is recalled. Also can be used for blocking.

Fire - throws disc, also calls disc back to you if it didn't come back on its own
Alt-Fire - blocks, but only if you have your disc in hand

Works great for team games as well, although...

...for some weird reason the gold team's disc is pink.
